Cable Network Industry

This is a very interesting information, it shows top 25 cable network in the United States.

I have always studied in broadcasting service and entertainment industry since I was in college. I focus myself in Animation and Film production, which is different from cable network and cable operator business. My first professional career was in cable network industry, which guided me into different perspective about broadcasting. I am now in a position in providing programs to customers, not creating programs to viewers. I have studied about National cable & Telecommunications Association for sometimes or NCTA from their website. There is not enough assistant provide to members at this stand point, but educating members from self learning process. There are links about The Federal Communications Commission or FCC and The Cable Advertising Bureau or CAB. There are news updates about entertainment industry which posted from their blogs. There are also events schedules that can be attend from their original website. They are well organized and up to date information. I am deciding to attend some of their conferences.

What is missing in the main concern from viewers and future members are about assistant that we can get from NCTA. I do not actually see a full benefit by joining this association. I am planning to start a broadcasting business online and by satellite broadcasting.

The Vanguard awards event is also available. The association team would select nominees and the boards would select winners. In my opinion, this event is really small and dominates in a very small amount of viewers. The committee can expand this event popularity and increase reputation by adding board members. It will create value for the Vanguard Awards.

After reviewing and researching this association, I believe NCTA can be improved or need improvement in accepting comments and responds to feedback from viewers not only from cable network operators.

The association does not really support viewer side, but only support operator or cable owner’s side, in my opinion. I really hope to see both viewers and network providers interact with each other and improve the cable network system.
